A loyalty program you can trust with real money
Points are a promise of a discount, so Mint Loyalty treats them like money: exact, recorded and hard to abuse.
Choose the rate, like 1 point for every 1 spent. Points are counted on the product subtotal after discounts, so shipping, taxes added at checkout and gift cards don't earn. Add a signup bonus if you like.
Members turn points into a fixed amount or a percentage off. Each reward is a single-use Shopify discount code locked to that customer's account, so a code shared online is useless to anyone else.
Refund part of an order and the member loses the same share of the points it earned. Refund it all and every point comes back off. Nothing to fix by hand.
Each change is a permanent line in the member's history: orders, refunds, rewards, bonuses and your manual adjustments with the reason you gave. Duplicate order notifications from Shopify are ignored.
Tiers based on each member's spend over the last 12 months. Higher tiers earn more points per order and can unlock VIP-only rewards. Members see how far they are from the next tier.
Members share a link; each friend gets their own single-use code for a first order. The member earns points when that order is paid, never for their own orders, returning customers or the same friend twice.

Questions merchants ask
How do customers see their points?
Turn on the Rewards launcher in your theme editor: a small button on your store's pages opens a panel with the member's balance, rewards, codes, referral link and history. You can also add the Rewards block to any page, or link to your store's rewards page at /apps/mint-loyalty. Guests see how the program works and a button to join or sign in.
What happens when an order is refunded?
The member loses points in proportion to the refunded products. A full refund takes back exactly what the order earned. If the member already spent those points on a reward, their balance can go below zero until they earn again, and the history shows why.
Can reward codes be shared or reused?
No. Each code works once and only for the customer who redeemed it, signed in to their account. You can cancel an unused code from the member's page and the points go back.
When do customers join?
Your choice: automatically (when their customer record is created, for example at sign-up or checkout, or when they place an order) or only when they click Join in the rewards panel. Nothing happens until you launch the program.
Can I show points in my theme?
Yes. Each member's balance and VIP tier are also saved on their Shopify customer record (app metafields), so they show on the customer page in your admin and can be used in theme Liquid.
What happens on the Free plan after 200 members?
Existing members keep earning and redeeming. New customers can't join until you upgrade, and the app tells you how many were turned away. Nothing is charged automatically.
